Costello-Media was started in 1993 out of the need to promote a business. A professional actor/voice-over artist and musician/composer, Matthew Costello established a web site for his voice-over business and was one of the first voice talents to be submitted to the original Yahoo! directory.
Later, as he served on the board of the Virginia Organization of Composers and Lyricists, he developed their first site. For their then National Song Contest he made the entry form available via the website and Entries increased exponentialy that year with some from Australia, Germany and Sweden.
An intense appetite for learning more motivated his fascination with the skills and software that one uses to develop sites. Shortly an associate guided him to the works of Jakob Nielson and he made a commitment to designing usable websites that are focused on the user experience.
